This KitchenAid Mixer will be using to replaces mixer KitchenAid (still going strong) we have for 25 years. Slow start function is useful when you mix the dry ingredients, no flour or rain. I love making a lot of cookie dough and frostings, and it is good to prevent the flour all cabinets after each round of mixing. Mix carefully, though initially suspicious since the bowl does not rotate.

I noticed that the new dough hook is spiral shaped, without a shield on top, i think that is a big improvement. Kneading, prefer doing it by hand, instead of a spinning ball in a bowl. 450 watt motor provides plenty of power for anyone who makes bread. KitchenAid Mixer still produce a solid product quality, reliable and fun to own.

I've only noticed two downsides  with this kitchenaid mixer. First, relatively high, so it doesn't fit in my cabinet table. I move back and forth from another rack everytime i wanted use it, and i was quite heavy. Secondly, when finished mixing and lower bowl, it was difficult to scrape all the stuff of the beater since i couldn't get a good angle. Therefore, you must release the beater and dropped into the bowl when you can pick everything out.
